MathsLab: The school has advanced Mathematics Laboratory which helps in solving greater mysteries of the intriguing and essential subject.
Science Lab : School has well equipped Biology, Physics and Chemistry Labs where regular demonstrations and practicals are conducted.
English Lab: It provides the students with audio/video aids that enable them to learn their lessons in more effective and easier way.
Computer Lab: It is equipped with latest Multimedia computers and Internet access to make our students computer savvy.
School Library: A Library is a store house of knowledge. The school has spacious library for all bonafide students.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE) for all India Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. The medium of instruction is English but Regional & National Language i.e Punjabi and Hindi are taught as compulsory subjects. Though first priority is given to high proficiency in students, not least important is the development of Physical fitness, qualities of creativeness and aesthetic appreciation.
- Admission is open to boys and girls irrespective of caste, creed, religion or Social Status provided they are mentally and physically fit.
- Eligibility for admission to Nursery class is 2 years & 6 months and for Lower Kinder Garten (L.K.G.) is 3 years and 6 months.
- Great emphasis is laid on child's total need of re-creational, social and educational activities through Play Way method.
- Admission of children to classes higher than LKG will be subject to availability of Vacancy.
Documents required at the time of admission:
a) Original Birth Certificate
d) Two coloured passport size photographs.
c) School Leaving Certificate and Report Card (in case child is coming from other School).
d) Adhaar Card ( Photo copy)
e) E- Punjab Certificate
Registration of children intending to join Nursery, LKG or higher classes begins in January. Entrance Test and Interviews are held in the month of March. No student will be admitted unless he/she qualifies in the interview. Registration forms for admission can be procured from the school office. Registered form, duly filled in and signed along with the required documents, to be submitted in the school.
- The academic year will be from April to March.
- School Timings:
- Summer:- 07:45 am. to 02:00 pm.
- Winter:- - 09:00 am.to 03:10 pm.
Note:- Time can be changed as per weather conditions.
- All students are expected to attend school on the opening day after vacation. Those absent without leave will be fined @ Rs.50/- per day of absence.
- In case of absence due to illness, Medical Certificate and prescription should be attached with application.
- No leave will be granted except in case of illness or on valid reason. All Leave applications should be recorded in the diary and signed by parent/ Guardian registered with the school.
- Repeated/ continued absence for consecutive 15 days without prior sanction of leave is liable to get his/her name struck off the rolls of the school. Re-admission may only be on the discretion of the PRINCIPAL and only after payment of fresh admission fee and pending dues.
- In case of emergency if student wants to leave the school campus during school hours, Parents should obtain a gate pass duly signed by the Principal. It must be presented to the gate man at the time of leaving.
- Application for withdrawal of student and issue of School Leaving Certificate should be filled by Parents/Guardian at least one month in advance.
- School fee and other dues should be paid up to the date of leaving the school and a Clearance Certificate/No Objection Certificate (NOC) to be obtained from the office.
- The School reserves the right to compel the parent to withdraw a student on the under mentioned grounds:-
a) Irregular Attendance
b) Unsatisfactory Academic progress
c) Not keeping good conduct
d) Immorality
The facilities of vast play-ground and trained coaches are available to the students. All children go to ground daily for outdoor games like Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, Kho - Kho, Football and Athletics. The school has special provision for indoor games.
To ensure the Physical fitness of the Students, Medical check up of all students is arranged once a year. A complete record of the medical inspection of students is maintained. Vaccination and inoculation arranged when required.
The School Management feels that the children living in suburbs of Samrala should come directly under the school control, as soon as they leave parental control. For this purpose bus service is provided by the school. We have fleet of buses going in all directions to collect children from the neighbouring villages and Vice-Versa.
To develop the various facts of personality of pupils curricula is supplemented with extra- curricular activities. Music, Singing, Sports, Writing skills, Volunteer work, Picnic, Excursions, Trips and Tours are incorporated as extra-curricular activities.
House System inculcates in the students a sense of responsibility and spirit to compete among students. The school has been divided into four Houses:
1. Baba Ajit Singh ji House
2. Baba Fateh Singh ji House
3. Baba Zorawar Singh ji House
4. Baba Jujhar Singh ji House
Inter-House and Inter Class competitions are held in Academics, Sports and other Co - curricular activities. Participation in such competitions enthuses and infuses healthy competitive spirit and also creates the spirit of sportsmanship. Prizes are given to the winners to boost their morale.
- Weekly tests are conducted on every Wednesday, if fall holiday then the next day.
- Mid Term is held in the month of September and the Final Examination in the month of March.
- Result of all tests is recorded in the Report Card of the students.
- Absentees from Examination for any reason (s) are not re-examined and those absent from all examination, without plausible reason, are considered to have failed. In case of illness during an examination a Medical Certificate should be submitted positively. (Average will be considered for promotion).
- A student using unfair means during tests or examination is given Zero in the subject.
- A student who fails twice in the class is asked to leave the school.
- Result at the end of the year is final. Result is neither to be reconsidered nor are the answer scripts, of the Final examination, shown. A student is promoted to higher class on the basis of his/her performance over the year. Hence the need for regular studies throughout the year is mandatory.
- Students must be in their respective class rooms ten minutes prior to morning assembly.
- Every student should carry with him/her school Identity card and school diary.
- The warning bell before beginning of classes is a signal for all to attend the assembly. This should be done in utter silence.
- All students should be habitually clean & neatly dressed. Spick and span school uniform is to be worn during working days. A student who is slovenly dressed may be kept away from the class room or even sent home. On his/her birthday student can come in Civil Dress but not in Kurta- Pajama.
- Girls with long hair are required to plait in two braids. All girls must wear blue ribbon/hair bands.
- Sikh boys should tie turban and non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Fashionable hair cut is strictly not allowed.
- Care must be taken of all school property. No pupil should scratch or spoil school furniture. Drawing anything on the walls or damaging possession of others is strictly not allowed. Accidental Damage should be reported at once to the Class Incharge or the PRINCIPAL. Any damage done will have to be made good by the defaulter only. No pupil should bring razor/blades or any sharp instruments to school.
- Money should not be lent or borrowed for articles exchanged among the students.
- Name, standard §ion of the pupil should be clearly marked on all his/her belongings.
- All letters and correspondence addresses to pupils are subject to the scrutiny of the PRINCIPAL. It is not advisable to bring valuable article (Like expensive watches, Silver‘ karras/bracelets’, chains, rings, fountain pen etc.) to school. The School is not responsible for any article or money lost. Pupils below VI std. are not allowed to wear wristwatch in the school.
- Applying henna/nail polish/getting tattoos in carved/bleaching hair is strictly prohibited.
- Bullying and use of foul language is punishable offense.
- Parents & Guardians are not permitted to walk into class-rooms or meet teachers during teaching hours.
- No pupil is allowed to leave school campus on any pretext during school hours except in emergency with prior permission of the PRINCIPAL. Students are not permitted to attend parties, to go to cinema on their way to School.
- No student is allowed to receive visitors or to make phone calls during teaching hours unless the matter is urgent.
- A student will be exempted from PT. or games if he/she produces a Medical Certificate to the effect that he/she is not fit to participate in physical activities.
- Bicycles/Scooter should be kept locked and parked in the Cycle-Stand. Students coming on bike/Scooter should have legal Driving License. While going home, they should not loiter about on the way.
- Bringing mobile phones to school is strictly forbidden. Mobile phone once confiscated shall remain in school possessions.
- Parents are supposed to deposit the fee of their ward before 10th of every month.
- Please refrain from visiting the class rooms and meeting the teachers during the working hours.
- Check your ward’s diary for any entries/circulars. Also check their books and notebooks daily.
- Please motivate your ward to communicate in English at home.
- Parents should send their wards in proper uniform and at proper time.
- Parents are requested to avoid unnecessary calls as it disrupts the smooth functioning of the school.
- Don’t urge us to carry the child back before school hours.
- In case of emergency child will only be handed over to Mother/Father/Guardian on record.
- Parents to supply two names with photos, who can take their ward during emergency.
- Parents to provide their wards with nutritious food. Avoid fast food and Non- veg food.
- Encourage local students to come on foot in order to maintain good physique.
- Please attend all PTM's as it ensures smooth progress of your ward at school.
- We welcome useful suggestions from parents to promote the quality and quantity of the students.
